Quality Education of IDO
IDO (Imaginary Development Organization) recognizes education as a fundamental right and a powerful tool for breaking the cycle of poverty, inequality, and exclusion faced by fisher folk communities. Despite their contribution to the economy, fisher folk children are often deprived of quality education due to poverty, geographical isolation, seasonal migration, and social discrimination. Girls in particular face early marriage, gender-based violence, and cultural barriers that keep them away from schools. To address these challenges, IDO integrates quality education as a core part of its mission. The organization works to ensure that fisher folk children and youth have equal opportunities to access and complete education that is inclusive, relevant, and transformative.
