Development is a long-term process and people are the core of all development. IDO started its journey in 1993 to work with the poor, neglected, deprived, underprivileged, oppressed and those who cannot meet their daily basic needs for their socio-economic development. 

Among them, it gives special priority to the development of women, girls, and children who are particularly vulnerable. When IDO started its activities, the staff, volunteers and executive committee members were very new to the development field and had very little understanding and experience of development activities. 

But it was their strong commitment, volunteer mentality, and dedication that gradually led the IDO organization to this position. Now most of the executive committee members, staff and volunteers are quite aware, skilled and experienced about development, and even the development partners are quite aware, skilled and experienced in various development issues. IDO is now on its way to becoming a national NGO as its area, population and scale of programs are increasing day by day. 

At present, the achievements in the field of rural development are reasonable and commendable. Various initiatives of IDO such as:-Entrepreneurship Development, Climate Change and Adaptive Livelihood Development, Women Empowerment, Out of School Children Development, Children and Adult Development, Disaster Management, Agriculture and Market Development, Lobby and Advocacy, Renewable Energy, Primary Health Care Support, Biodiversity Conservation, WASH, Social Business Development, Aquaculture Development implementation has benefited a significant portion of the relevant development partners. 

Hopefully, the IDO organization will maintain its current progress and momentum. All credit goes to the dedicated and dedicated staff, volunteer executive committee members and other local concerned departments. We are also very grateful and appreciative of the donors who provide financial support to implement our development programs for the poor and vulnerable people.

We hope that if all kinds of cooperation and support are received from donors, IDO will be able to reach its goal.
